Glazes Made

Today I made my glazes, in preparation for the painting. I made this white base glaze, that I will spray onto my pieces. This will allow the glaze to be even and crisp. I then made 14 colour glazes. These were originally simply going to be watered down oxides, painted onto the white coat, but after my test trial with the oxides, I found it unreliable to mix colours as I could not be sure what colour they would turn out without weighing specific amounts of oxide powders and water. The technician suggested that I make colour glazes, which I could measure out correctly and which would as a result produce more reliable colour outcomes. Many different colour recipes were described and I picked the 14 most suitable colours that would be useful for my insects and plants. Now to paint the insects!
