After writing my ‘Summertime Eyes’ poem and being inspired by the sun, I began practising my watercolour painting more. Whilst doing some painting in Made gallery, Zoe the owner asked if I would be interested in creating a piece for their summer show in April. Very keen, I began some more paintings that I hope to show her. Besides potentially being an exciting experience, I have enjoyed returning to painting and it has provided excellent practice for designs for my final piece.
A lot of the floral designs shown in these images have derived from my studies at the Botanical gardens. In particular, I am very interested in including the simplistic leaf patterns in my final designs as (depending on what glazes I choose, I will do some designs soon) I feel that they would work very well in glaze.
