Re visiting Mr Finch

I talked about Mr Finch’s work a few weeks ago, referring to his mushrooms, but whilst I was carrying out further research, I came across his work again. Using the medium of textiles, he has created a huge assortment of animals and bugs. The bees you see below are actually huge, much bigger than the size of an adult hand. This always makes me wonder about the actual size of exhibits as images you can view are often very deceptive. His creations all run along a similar theme of up cycled vintage. Which often makes them look like vintage collectable items. All his pieces are distinct and his style easily recognisable. If I can begin to adopt a coherent and consistent style in my collection of bugs, I will feel that I have succeeded.
