Glaze Preparation.

Today I began to make the glazes for my fired tree faces. For the white ash clay I want to use a glaze that looks like the photo below, which means I need to follow the recipe, using 100% colour 3, as the tone I have chosen is in the bottom right corner of the triangle. I believe that this is a two part glaze, first being the colour, and second being a cloudy film on top.

For the terracotta clay, I would like to create this bark -like cracked glaze. To achieve this, I believe I need to follow the instruction beside the tile which represents the finish I want to accomplish. I haven’t made my own glazes before, so I am a little bit apprehensive, but very excited! I have obtained a few suitable mixing bowls and containers so I am now ready to start!
