Making Peeling Faces

I have begun creating pieces that I can put into the kiln, meaning that they will be more hard wearing and have pretty glazes! I came up with the idea of putting a layer of grease proof paper between the wood and the clay, meaning that when the clay is almost dry I can separate the two, and hopefully once fired and glazed it will fit right back into place! On this piece I have used terracotta earthenware clay, and hope to use a glaze that looks a bit like bark. Here, I covered all areas that were missing bark, so once the piece is all put together, I am hoping it will look complete again.
